What is Very Simple Notes?
A simple notes app. You write, make a checklist, done. No folders, no databases, no extra AI features in the app itself. Your agent can connect and work with those same notes.
How is this different from Apple Notes?
Apple Notes is also simple. The problem is that Claude, Agent Heim, and other assistants cannot connect to it. Very Simple Notes is simple notes your agent can connect to, with ordinary OAuth.
How do I connect Claude?
In Claude, open Customize, Connectors, press + and choose Add custom connector. Paste https://verysimplenotes.com/mcp, press Add, then Connect and sign in with Apple or Google. Claude can then read and write your notes in any chat. Step by step: Getting started in Claude.
Which agents can connect?
Claude as a connector, Claude Code, any other MCP client, and Agent Heim with one tap. Developers can use the plain REST API. All of them sign in the same way, and you can revoke each one in the app under Account. Details: Connect your agent.
Can the agent write, or only read?
Both. List, read, create, edit, archive, delete. Typical uses: a shopping list you tick off, a recipe it drafts, a training plan it updates.
Do I need to know Markdown?
No. The app has a floating bar for bold, italic, lists, and checklists. You never see the syntax. Agents write Markdown; the app renders it.
How much does it cost?
$0.99 a month, first month free. One plan, no ads, no tiers. Cancel any time in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
What happens if I cancel?
Your notes stay. You can still read and export everything. Creating and editing pauses until you subscribe again. Connected agents can still read; writes return an error until the subscription is active.
Where is my data?
On servers in Amsterdam, in the EU, hosted by Fly.io. We do not sell notes, show ads, or use your notes to train AI models. The only assistant that sees them is the one you connect. Details: Privacy and GDPR.
How do I revoke an agent?
In the iPhone app, open Account. Every connected app and token is listed. Revoke one and that assistant loses access immediately.
Is there a web app or Android app?
Not yet. You write in the iPhone app. The agent is how the notes show up on a computer or anywhere else the assistant runs.
How do I export or delete my account?
Delete your account and all its notes in the iPhone app, under Account, Danger zone. For an export, email verysimple@portfoliobox.net from the address on your account.
